> Insulation
(35)
Aurora have 4 layers of insulation: 6mm of grained cork, 45mm of an high density polyurethan foam, 10mm of marine plywood, an other 4mm of grained cork.
Read the notice
Non toxic or corrosive
Total of 6kgs per sq meter
Mixt with water
Apply a first layer
First layer thickness is 2 mm
You can tint as you like
The secon layer is 6mm
Under the engines too
The entire surface is covered
Drying time is 1 week
Everywhere you can go
Then a wooden boat is build inside
Using maogany and epoxied pin wood
Glued together with a polyurethan compound
A wooden boat skin is build inside with no metal link at all with the hull
Which end up with a final layer of natural color cork
A clean finish which regulate temp. and moisture
Following 2 years of trial, no sign of deterioration
Acomodations as well as the engines room
Double glazing everywhere
First of all 6mm of cork
Then a 45mm polyurethan foam
Totaly sealed
With a 10mm epoxyed plywood
bonded to the glazing aluminum structure
Then an other 6 mm of cork
No more thermic bridge with the structure
Dark grey tinted for the bridge
Help to concentrate on the outside with no reflection
Best of all, the Subertres does not burn at all
You can weld outside trouble free for the inside
Can't ear the engines running
The worst part is also a quality: Subertres stick on everything including nylon
A dirty job, but such a result!
